Between 1964-1971, approximately 11,000 cars were factory produced with the 426-hemi option. All of those cars, whatever year, make or model, were two door cars (including the less than 200 convertibles), except for four cars. This is one of those cars, a 4-door hemi car. Two were made for American customers and two others were exported (1 to Canada, 1 to Finland). This is the car that was ordered by a Canadian veterinarian who wanted a 4-door hemi car to tow his Airstream trailer. The car was built to Canadian Specs at the Lynch Road Assembly Plant, and is documented by its " Chrysler Corporation Car Production Broadcast" sheet. The car is low mileage due to the fact it resided with the veterinarian for a very brief period of time before it went to its second owner who drag raced it. The car has been sitting with its engine out of the car for most of its life. The car needs restoration and does not come with its original hemi. Of the 4 cars factory produced with the 426-hemi option, this is the only one in the world for sale.
